Portfolio Reflection,

Well, this semester is over and I can't wait for next semester to start learning more about different subjects and learning about myself. I've learned so much within the first semester and I've experienced many things that forced me to use my mind and think for myself.

Dear Mom & Dad,

Here is the link to my portfolio containing a reflection on what I've learned this semester. I created a metaphor that compared my learning to a something that I am very passionate about; a show. I hope you enjoy :)

1)Like always, I enjoy looking through these web pages that you create from scratch. You are very creative in ways that I would never imagine. My favorite part was the overall metaphor/comparison that used in your portfolio. Every trait of writing and show element that you compared each with was very accurate and clever. Nice job!

Some improvements could be done on the examples you chose. It seems as if you used almost the same examples for your web page. Maybe it's cause there wasn't much work you could chose from?

    2) I would have to say that your strongest trait would be "voice". The description of voice on your web page seemed like you. I could tell that voice is probably your favorite too cause you compared the trait of voice to the element of the performers in a show which is where you stand also. Very clever! It showed very well in your "coming of age" essay. I love reading that essay the best because it shows me that you have developed to become a daughter with a good head on her shoulders. It also shows me the kind of strength you have and the amount of passion you have for what you love. That will be very useful in the future as you get older.

    3) I think you know which trait I always would like you to improve in (besides spelling ;). Work on your word choice because you can never have too big of a vocabulary. It'll make you more studious when in job interviews and since you do a lot of socializing with directors whom are older than you, it would be useful to be able to speak to them professionally.
